Volunteer for the 2009 Walk for Thought! It takes many people to make the Walk a success and you can help by being a cheerer, greeter or working at registration. This is a great time to meet new and exciting people or spend time with friends or family. If so, the Brain Injury Association of Minnesota has trained speakers ready to present to a variety of different audiences. Free Canoeing and Instruction at Lake Calhoun - September 12
The Brain Injury Association of Minnesota has partnered with Wilderness Inquiry to provide a free canoeing event designed especially for people with brain injuries who want to have fun learning how to paddle. Registration: Online registration is available by clicking here.

Classified Ad - Apartment living for people with a brain injury and/or physical disability
Each resident in Accessible Space Incís (ASI) Assisted Living Service has their own apartment. Staff are available 24 hours a day to assist with physical care, provide medication reminders, and monitor health and safety issues. Housing is subsidized at the six locations in the Twin Cities, Rochester and Grand Rapids. Medical assistance funding pays for services at these sites with a Class F Home Care license. We also have opportunities for Adult Foster care in Shared Living Homes where accessible housing is subsidized. Rent is about 30 percent of their income so residents generally have more spending money. Locations in the Twin Cities and surrounding suburbs.

This bi-weekly electronic publication is sent to more than 4,000 professionals, paraprofessionals and persons with brain injury and their families.

The cost to run a classified ad of up to 250 words is $20 for one edition or $30 for two editions. Ads must be submitted in electronic form to receive this rate. Ads submitted in hard copy will be charged an additional $15 administrative fee.
