25th Annual Conference for Professionals in Brain Injury - Request for Presenters
The Brain Injury Association of Minnesota is now taking applications for presenters for the 25th Annual Conference for Professionals in Brain Injury. Click here to submit your application online. The 25th Annual Conference for Professionals in Brain Injury will take place on Thursday and Friday, April 29 and 30, 2010 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in St. Paul.

Call for Speakers Bureau Presenters
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, falls are the leading cause of brain injury. Each year, 1.6 to 3.8 million sports/recreation-related concussions occur in the United States. The Brain Injury Association of Minnesota Speakers Bureau program is looking for individuals willing to speak to groups about their personal story of brain injury as it relates to falls or a sports/recreation related concussion. Hennepin County Medical Center's Pediatric Brain Injury Program 20th Anniversary Open House
The Pediatric Brain Injury Program at Hennepin County Medical Center will be holding an open house on Friday, November 13 from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. to recognize their 20th anniversary. The celebration will take place in the Doctor's Dining Room on the First Level of the Blue Building at 900 South 8th Street in Minneapolis. All past patients and their families, current and former staff, and professionals and friends who have had involvement with the program over the years are invited to attend. Meeting for Medical Research in Emergency Situations
The University of Minnesota Medical School Department of Emergency Medicine invites you to attend a 60 minute informational meeting and discussion to learn more about research that is conducted under Exception From Informed Consent (EFIC) rules.

Your opinion is needed in regards to a future research study in our community that will involve EFIC rules. The ProTECT™ study will treat individuals with Traumatic Brain Injuries within hours of the injury.

We are pleased to provide an online opportunity for organizations to broadcast their message about job openings, services and more through affordable, convenient advertising. This bi-weekly electronic publication is sent to more than 4,000 professionals, paraprofessionals and persons with brain injury and their families.
