Advocacy Matters
The 2013 Minnesota Legislature completed their work for the year, adjourning at midnight this past Monday, May 20, 2013. This was a very important legislative session for all Minnesotans. Our state Representatives, Senators and the Governor spent the past several months at the State Capitol making critical decisions about how to prioritize the state’s resources and set the state budget for the next two years.

The Public Policy Department invites you to join us for our next Citizen Advocate Academy to learn about the important budget and policy decisions that were made at the Capitol this session. The Citizen Advocate Academy – 2013 Legislative Wrap-Up – will take place on Saturday, June 29, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at our offices in Minneapolis. You can also click here to access our Advocacy Action Center for more information. Otherwise, for questions or more information about public policy and advocacy, feel free to contact the Public Policy Department by phone at 612-378-2742, 800-669-6442 or by e-mail at michelleg@braininjurymn.org or jeffn@braininjurymn.org.
