Public Policy Update
Thanks to everybody who helped make the Disability Matters Rally and the Unmasking Brain Injury in Minnesota Exhibit a resounding success last week. More than 500 people attending the Rally and thousands of people walked through the Unmasking Exhibit.

The next step for our MA Disability Spenddown Bill is a Hearing in the House Health and Human Services Finance Committee on Tuesday March 14 at 1 p.m. in room 200 of the State Office Building. We really hope you can make it to this critical hearing so we can show this Committee how important fixing the MA Disability Spenddown is to the brain injury community.

Feel free to email Erica at ericas@braininjurymn.org or Jeff at jeffn@braininjurymn.org if you have any questions.

Unmasking Brain Injury in Minnesota
Join the Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance on Saturday, April 1 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Earle Brown Heritage Center in Brooklyn Park for Unmasking Brain Injury in Minnesota. One thousand stories and masks will be on display in addition to special guests, Fox 9's Tim Blotz and NHL Defenseman, Jordan Leopold and our award-winning movie, Unmasking.

Unmasking Brain Injury in Minnesota is a community-based project that promotes awareness about brain injury through mask displays made by people affected by brain injury. Combining therapy, art and advocacy, each mask presents an entirely unique perspective on life with brain injury and will give survivors, care givers and professionals a voice and the means to educate others of what it is like to live with brain injury.
