Wednesday Workshops
The Brain Injury Association of Minnesota is proud to present Wednesday Workshops, a series of classes held once a month, discussing a different brain injury topic each month. Wednesday Workshops will be held at the Association office in Minneapolis from 1:30 to 4 p.m. The cost to attend one of the workshops is $40 per person. 2.5 CEU's are provided. Classes for the remainder of 2010 are currently being scheduled. Please check back in late June for a complete schedule.

The Behavioral and Psychological Impact of Stroke and Management of Hemorrhagic Stroke

Approximately 15 percent of all strokes are caused by bleeding into the brain. The cause, management and long term disability of hemorrhagic strokes can be different than for the more common ischemic type. All types of stroke commonly result in psychological and behavioral changes in stroke survivors. This workshop will focus on the causes, current treatment and functional outcomes of hemorrhagic stroke. It will also explore the psychological and behavioral sequelae associated with all stroke types.

Brain Injury and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder in Returning Veterans

This workshop will address the co-occurring issues of Brain Injury and PTSD, how the two diagnoses look very similar and ways to best work with returning veterans.
