The New Year Brings New Opportunities to Get Involved
The 2013 Minnesota Legislative Session is set to begin January 8. It is an important session as state policymakers will be setting the Minnesota state budget for the next two years and making critical decisions that will impact all of us. This means it is vital to share the real life stories of individuals and families affected by brain injury with our policymakers. Join us at the Capitol this session; there are many opportunities to get involved:

Learn about current health care and disability policy issues at the Minnesota Consortium for Citizens with Disabilities 2013 Legislative Kickoff on Friday, January 18 from 12 to 1:30 p.m. at the Kelly Inn in St. Paul.
Come to Tuesdays at the Capitol to share your story with legislators, attend committee hearings, and work with other advocates beginning Tuesday, January 22 at 10 a.m. in the basement cafeteria of the State Office Building.
And don't forget to mark your calendar for this year's Day at the Capitol, Tuesday, March 26 at the Minnesota State Capitol

For more information about these events and how to register click here to visit our Advocacy Action Center or feel free to contact the Public Policy Department by phone at 612-378-2742, 800-669-6442 or by e-mail at michelleg@braininjurymn.org or jeffn@braininjurymn.org.
