About the Walk for Thought
Brain injury can happen to anyone, at any time, changing the lives of the survivors, their loved ones and caregivers. The Walk for Thought brings the brain injury community together in a spirit of support for those affected by brain injury and a spirit of awareness for Minnesota as a whole. The funds brought in by the Walk are used to fund vital services provided by the Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance.
Since its inception in 2002, the Walk for Thought has hosted over 25,700 walkers and raised over $1.8 million in donations and sponsorships! These funds help ensure that Minnesotans affected by brain injury have access to critical support services like resource facilitation, medical service connections, caregiver training and outstate educational opportunities.
Why Participate?
By participating in the Walk for Thought, you help amplify the voices of those living with brain injuries and their loved ones. Your support makes a difference in their lives by funding essential services and programs that aid in their recovery, day-to-day living, and reintegration into their communities. Whether you walk as an individual or as part of a team, your involvement shows the world the power of community support.
